ダイアトム・デリの柔らかでドリーミーな歌声が幾十にも折り重なり、教会音楽にも近接した神性すら感じられる。実験的マルチインストゥルメンタリストによる、意欲的なフォークトロニカ。
歌謡曲、童謡、民族音楽、フォーク、ブルース、あらゆるルーツ・ミュージックを“和洋折衷”ではなく“和洋ない混ぜ”させてアウトプットさせてしまうのが、折坂悠太の才能。ジャンルレスな音楽嗜好がさらに色濃く表れた一枚。
弦楽器の不穏な調べが、聖霊が棲まうもう一つの世界に我々を誘う。薄暗い靄のその向こうへと。クラリス・ジェンセンが放つ、エクスペリメンタルな一枚。
弱冠21歳にして、エレクトロ・ミュージック・シーンのプロデューサーとして注目されているロレイン・ジェームズのデビュー・アルバム。気だるいドリームッポプにガラージなリズムが折り重なって、ヴィヴィッドな色合いの桃源郷が浮かび上がってくる。
これまで英語詞を貫いてきたホームカミングスが、一転して10曲中9曲が日本語詞のアルバムをドロップ。UKインディー・ロックの霞みがかった風景から、一気に世界が鮮やかになった。特にM-7『Blue Hour』のストレートなアオハル感がたまらない。
ようこそ、“静かの海”のホテルとカジノへ。パンキッシュなギターをかき鳴らしていたのとは遠い昔、アレックス・ターナーが弾くスタインウェイのピアノの調べが心地よくリズムを刻む、アークティック・モンキーズの新たな音楽的地平。
