打ち込みのトラックとアート・リンゼイの蚊の鳴くようなボーカルが見事に調和した、“金属的禁欲系ボサノバ”の最高到達点。
四つ打ちのリズムにスペーシーなアナログシンセの旋律が重なる気持ち良さは、快感指数120％。21世紀型の青春が凝固した、電子の音塊。
電気グルーヴが創り上げてきたアッパーなテクノからは、180°転換。砂原良徳がおよそ2年という時間を費やして、ヤスリで陶器を磨き上げるがごとく、ゆっくりと音を紡ぎあげていったミニマルな音楽空間。
清潔でよく磨かれた純白のキッチンのような、ピースフルでクワイエットな空間。過去のディスコグラフィーと比較して、よりふわっとした清涼感が強調されている。
ヴァイオリン、オルガン、チェロ、アコーディオンといった生楽器の音色が、デジタルに刻まれるビートと優しく共振し、牧歌的ともいえる風景を呼び起こす。それはまるで、子供の頃に夢中になって読んでいた絵本の世界。人肌程度の温かさを感じさせる、ハート・ウォーミングなフォークトロニカ。
岩澤瞳のアンニュイなヴォーカルが耳を軽やかに刺激する、M-5『Sweets』が神曲すぎ。
